Jesse and I were able to take a small 4 day get away up to Causeway on Gull Lake, that's up in Nisswa, MN. We went with Mark and Tina, and Matt and Kristin. We stayed in a condo/townhome, and had such a wonderful time. The guys were able to do some snowmobiling and we were able to do some shopping. We enjoyed fun dinners out, bowling, Guitar Hero, Pictionary, Yahtzee, Tina's birthday, and just some relaxation, catching up on those Karen Kingsbury books. Grp'a and Grm'a Nystrom stayed out at our house and I think they had just as much fun as we did, ok maybe close to. 
What a wonderful Christmas we had this year!! We had such a great time celebrating with all of our family and friends. We ended up in all having 5 Christmas parties, I think the whole month of December I was pretty much in the kitchen. We first had the Nystrom Christmas, this year being the first w/ out Grm'a Lill we decided to leave Christmas Eve open for a little change, I think we all enjoyed ourselves and Jesse and I hosted that gathering. Next, we had the Johnson Christmas, as always that one's a little crazy and for sure loud. We rented a facility this year and enjoyed our time and seeing all the kids play and even cry when Santa (uncle Tim) decided to stop in. Then came Christmas Eve and I have to say I really enjoyed it. We had my family and Jesse's mom, dad, and brother over for an afternoon dinner, played Catch Phrase, which I ended up on the team w/ Bonnie and my mom, let's just say we didn't win. Then we headed into Hutch to church for the Christmas Eve candle light service, it was really nice. After, my family came back for a fire, munchies, gift opening, and a late night movie. Christmas morning we were up to check the stockings and filled they were, so much fun!! Then, off to the Utecht's for a Christmas Day dinner. Finally wrapping up the holidays we went to the cities and had Christmas w/ Jesse's Grm'a Bette and had a lot of fun. New Year's was pretty low key, we invited one couple and there kids over for a night of Yahtzee, exploding sparkling cider, and the kids enjoying themselves, all that and turning in by 10:30. So, the Christmas season as always has come and gone
and we were and are very, very blessed!
